In the shipping of products to optician stores, a significant amount of single-use packaging and thus waste is generated every year. To reduce this, packaging needs to become smaller, reusable, and recyclable.

In December 2024, the company pricon implemented a reusable packaging solution in the industry. The goal is to reduce packaging waste and sustainably decrease the carbon footprint. Matthias Köste, Managing Partner of pricon, will report on the selection of the partner for the reusable shipping packaging (in this case, hey circle, known from "Die Höhle der Löwen"), how the system was implemented within the company, and how optician businesses can utilize it.
