About us
An idea among friends - that was the beginning of the independent Austrian eyewear brand ANDY WOLF Eywear. The label was founded in 2006 by Andreas Pirkheim (better known as Andy) and Wolfgang Scheucher (the wolf in the name). What started out very small and with the grand vision of combining local, traditional eyewear craftsmanship with contemporary, innovative design is now worn and loved worldwide.
The people behind ANDY WOLF (all of them!) are passionate about the brand. We live and love design, sustainability, fashion and craftsmanship and you can feel this in every pair of glasses.
We have been taking responsibility for people and nature since day one - long before it became en vogue. In 2022, we are taking not one, but many steps further into a more sustainable future - the whole year is under the motto Grow With Us. From now on, every ANDY WOLF frame sold will be accompanied by a square meter of wildflower meadow; the first products made from Acetate Renew, the most sustainable acetate in the industry, were launched in 2022 and 75% of the collection has already been converted by 2023; and with AWearness, we are expanding our portfolio with a thoroughly sustainable heart collection.
