Since 1998, the Lübeck-based eyewear manufacturer "Colibris Eyewear" has been producing high-quality glasses specifically for the needs of people with petite faces. Over 20 years later, the family business has long since become an international must-have for small faces, from a local insider tip.
he idea was born out of personal need. Despite having access to the most popular brands as an optician, Colibris founder Susanne Reckzeh simply couldn't find a pair of glasses that harmonized with her face. None of the available models fit her proportions or achieved the desired appearance. Together with her husband, Wolfgang Reckzeh, a master optician and owner of the Colibri optical store, they eventually put all of their passion and expertise into solving the problem at the highest level – for themselves and everyone else.
Today, Elena Reckzeh-Gogoll, the daughter of the Reckzehs, leads the affairs of the northern German eyewear label, which is also coveted and known for its Nordic-clear designs.
